How it works
From missed call to tidy message, in three steps.
There's no app to install, no new phone system, and nothing for your callers to learn. If you can dial a divert code, you can set up RingSorted.
Divert your calls
When you sign up we set up a dedicated RingSorted number for your business, then give you the exact divert code to dial for your network. You choose how it behaves:
Divert everything — RingSorted answers every call.
Divert when busy or unanswered — you answer when you can; RingSorted catches the rest.
Evenings and weekends — switch the divert on when you knock off.
RingSorted answers as your business
You tell us how the phone should be answered — it takes about ten minutes:
— Your greeting ("Good afternoon, Dave's Plumbing…")
— The questions to ask (name, number, what's the job, how urgent)
— Anything it should know (areas you cover, rough lead times)
— What counts as urgent, and what to do about it
The receptionist speaks naturally, handles interruptions, and takes down names and numbers carefully — reading them back to check.
The message lands with you
Seconds after the call ends, you get the message by email, text, or both: who called, their number, what they wanted, and how urgent it sounded. Every call also has a full transcript in your dashboard, so you can always see exactly what was said.
Behind the scenes
And when a call is too important for software?
You set the rules — "anything urgent", "anyone who asks for a person", "any call about an existing job" — and RingSorted transfers those calls live to you or any number you choose. The caller hears a warm handover, not hold music and a prayer. And if you want actual humans answering for you around the clock, our custom Talk to TNS365 tier puts the TNS365 24-hour desk behind your line.
RingSorted runs on the same call infrastructure our own operators use every night. It isn't a demo bolted to a phone line — the phone line came first.
Setup
Live in an afternoon.
Pick a plan, tell us your business name and where you are. We set up your dedicated number straight away.
Teach it your business
A ten-minute form: greeting, questions, what's urgent, where messages should go. Change any of it whenever you like.
Dial the divert
We send you the code for your network. Dial it once and you're live. Dial the cancel code and you're back to normal — you're always in control.
Details
The finer points.
Which networks do diverts work on?
All the UK ones — BT, EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, and the landline and VoIP providers too. Divert codes vary slightly by network, so we send you the exact ones for yours as part of setup.
Can messages go to more than one person?
Every message goes to the email address you choose — a shared team inbox works well — with text alerts to a mobile on Plus and Unlimited. Routing different topics to different people is on the roadmap.
Does it know my opening hours?
If you want it to. It can answer differently out of hours, tell callers when you reopen, or simply take the message the same way around the clock.
What won't it do?
It won't book appointments, take payments, or give advice on your behalf — yet. At launch, RingSorted does one thing properly: it answers, finds out what the caller needs, and gets you a message you can act on. More is on the roadmap.
What about my callers' privacy?
Calls are transcribed to make your messages and are only shared with you. We don't sell data or use your calls to advertise to anyone. See the privacy policy.
